Getting In Shape

I have to admit, my plan to get in shape had more to do with my swim suit than my wedding dress.  It was definitely my motivation during those low motivation moments.

My Workout Plan

Monday Wednesday Friday
Running a 3 mile trail

Sunday
Strength training at the gym

10 push up every day

Diet Modifications

I drink only water, but this could be a great change!  Your body doesn't have to work as hard to break down calories you drink, so it's best not to drink your calories.  Diet sodas are no good either.  Studies show dieting women who drink diet sodas don't lose as much weight.

No binge drinking!  Only 1-2 drinks 3-4 times a week.

Making 1/2 my plate fruits and vegetables.

Eating fish twice a week.

Portion controlled desserts!  I love those little microwave brownie packs :)

Drinking a tablespoon of Benefiber everyday.

Best Health Tips

Take the stairs and don't park in the closest parking spots.  Adding little bits of exercise throughout your day can really add up long term.

Switch to whole grains.  The fiber and protein in whole grains keep you satisfied longer.

Add a multivitamin into your diet.   Your hunger cravings might be due to lack of micronutrients.  Taking a supplement with biotin will also help strengthen your hair and nails.

Switch your butter out with Smart Balance. It's made of healthy fats and doesn't have any trans fats.

Count your calories for a week. You would be surprised at the additional calories consumed during the day.  Some foods you thought were "healthy" might actually be causing you to add on the lbs.

Watch out for sodium.  Too much of it can cause you to retain water and bloat.
